Personally… I’m a little conflicted upon whether I like it delete word. Whilst i like the simpleness of it; stripped down plus haunting is definitely what’s required in order to get back to an ‘MMLP mindset’… I don’t know… I believe I can’t help yet feel underwhelmed, as in, maybe I expected a little more, aesthetically.
There may be a nice visual metaphor in this in terms of… this really is Em’s house, as it made an appearance on the original MMLP cover… and, it’s aged, such as he has. It has aged plus it’s worn-down and about to become sold-off, so perhaps he is implying this as a metaphor for his age.
To know. Time will tell upon whether this is simply a fundamental reference to the first or they have a deeper meaning.
